Early one Christmas morning, While the world was still in bed, I awoke my little sister. And grabbed my trusty sled. We rode my steel blade charriot, Our faces a winter's glow. Descending the hill towards town. Making tracks in freshly fallen snow. We slowed our magic carpet At the foot of an amazing sight. The largest tree we'd ever seen, That had grown there over night! We stared in youthful wonder, As a star shown clear and bright. And there appeared the Nativity, Bathed in a single star light. When at that very moment, The church bells began to toll. I felt the very first Christmas Embedded in my soul. But it was years later I discovered, That there is no greater joy. Than seeing the wonder of Christmas In the face of a girl and boy. |
